Aimed at system-administrators and programmers who have a solid technical knowledge this talk will cover the basic technology and theory of the domain-type model and the level and compartment properties of MLS (Multi-Level Security) and MCS (Multi-Category Security). It will be illustrated with real-world examples of using SE Linux and is a complement to my tutorial on using SE Linux.

Russell Coker is a Linux consultant who has extensive experience working on NSA Security Enhanced Linux, he initially developed the SE Linux support in Debian in 2001 and also worked for Red Hat when they were adding SE Linux support to Fedora and RHEL.
