Linux bare-metal recovery techniques

This seminar will be about recovering from a crashed hard drive on a linux system from a backed up image. Various techniques will be looked into and a backup and recovery demonstration will be shown. The techniques are useful for disaster recovery as well as for deployment of an image across multiple machines such as in a computing lab environment. They are also superior to many proprietary disk cloning/imaging solutions that do not reliably support Linux's journalling filesystems. The seminar will include and build on the same one ran last year.
