Inside the Network Worm

This talk will introduce the problem of network worms. It will include a review of the problems caused by worm propogation and payloads, a taxonomy of worm types and the theory and practice of good worm defence.

About Damien Miller

Damien Miller has been involved with IT security since 1996. In this time he has worked in the areas of network security, secure software development and security consulting. Damien has been engaged as a Senior Security Consultant at NetStar Networks since 2003, where he has provided security design, implementation and review services to educational institutions, government and industry. He is also a developer on several open source security projects, including OpenBSD and OpenSSH.
